Verizon unveils network tools
The tools provide aid in network assessment, reporting, dynamic bandwidth adjustments and packet marking.
Verizon Business, the division of Verizon that covers commercial and government customers, will release a new line of network tools for organizations to improve the performance of IP networks. The tools will become available in April.
The tools provide aid in network assessment, reporting, dynamic bandwidth adjustments and packet marking, allowing customers to monitor network performance and adjust capacity quickly to meet changing needs.
“Companies today expect the obvious cost and capabilities benefits of converged data, voice and video," said Nancy Gofus, vice president of product management at Verizon Business, in a prepared statement. "With these new application-aware network tools, [Verizon's Private IP service] delivers all of these benefits and more, so our customers can make the most of their IP networks.”
