Apptis wins $16M IT contract with FTC
The company will provide support services, including a managed call center and on-site support.
Apptis has won a five-year contract worth more than $16 million to provide the Federal Trade Commission with the company’s Enterprise Support Desk. The contract was awarded under the General Service Administration’s Connections telecommunications infrastructure acquisition package.
“The services that we will provide will enable the FTC to respond to the demands being placed on them to protect the consumer and monitor anti-competitive activities in the market,” said Tim May, general manager of Apptis Civilian Sector, in a press release. “Our offering…is focused on meeting the service-level needs of the FTC.”
Under the contract, Apptis will deliver a range of information technology support services, including a managed call center and on-site support. The contract also includes regional support of the FTC’s communications infrastructure management, Web support services, application development and maintenance, and installation and implementation of the client’s computing platforms.
This is the second FTC contract the company has won in as many months. In March, the commission awarded Apptis a contract to assist in the implementation of a Remedy IT Service Management Solution.
“The demands being placed on the FTC in the evolving business environment as well as the existing budget constraints within the FTC have caused us to rethink our approach to receiving support services,” said Joe Giuliani, contracting officer at the FTC. “We believe the managed service approach will be a benefit to the agency and we are delighted to work with Apptis.”
