Addeo to leave AT&T

May 31 will be the final day for the former federal division chief.

Lou Addeo, president of AT&T Government Solutions, will step down May 31.

Addeo, who will be succeeded by Don Herring, originally planned to leave at the end of February, following AT&T's 2005 merger with SBC. In a brief e-mail message he sent today to friends and colleagues, he specified the new date.

Addeo was not immediately available for further comment, and he did not say whether he has a new position standing by.

Herring has been with AT&T for about 20 years, serving as a vice president of the government division’s professional services operation. Most recently, he was part of the executive team that planned the integration of AT&T and SBC.
