Telelogic updates development tools
Lifecycle Suite is only one of several new or upgraded offerings set for a June launch.
Telelogic is about to introduce an expanded software development suite, targeting federal agencies and integrators.
Telelogic Lifecycle Suite, due in June, will include System Architect, an enterprise architecture and modeling tool, and Focal Point, a decision support product for portfolio management.
Other elements of Telelogic Lifecycle Suite include Doors, for requirements management; Synergy/Change, for change management; Synergy/CM, for configuration management; and Tau, a product that automates systems engineering, software development and testing.
The suite’s common installation process and licensing structure works well for large organizations, said Jan Popkin, chief strategist at Telelogic. Telelogic plans to publicly release Lifecycle Suite June 5.
The company also plans to launch updates to System Architect and Synergy/Change the same day.
New options for System Architect Version 10.4 include System Architecture/XT, which provides Web portal access to enterprise architecture models housed in a central repository. The feature lets geographically dispersed users collaborate on architecture projects, according to the company.
Other System Architect 10.4 options include service-oriented architecture support and an enterprise resource planning component that lets organizations import ERP metadata into an enterprise architecture repository. The product also supports version 1.4 of the federal enterprise architecture’s reference models. The reference models are intended to guide agency investment in information technology.
The new release of Synergy/Change includes a new user interface and support for IBM Rational ClearCase.
