Alternative Technology adds Fortinet security systems to GSA Schedule

Alternative Technology, an Englewood, Colo.-based distributor of thin-client computing and government-approved security technologies, has added security firm Fortinet to its GSA Schedule.

Fortinet’s FortiGate systems will be available to authorized value-added resellers for sales to government entities at all levels through Alternative Technology’s contract.

“Fortinet has a comprehensive security platform that is applicable to a broad range of core and edge applications in traditional and tactical deployments across the federal sector,” said John Stubbs, vice president of business development strategies at Alternative Technology, in a statement.

Fortinet integrates firewall, antivirus, intrusion prevention, virtual private network, spyware prevention and anti-spam technologies into one package, providing protection from multiple threats, according to the company.
