LexisNexis unveils Advanced Government Solutions package
A new set of offerings uses the firm's access to archived information to provide government users with specialized capabilities.
LexisNexis, a provider of online information and services, has launched LexisNexis Advanced Government Solutions. The service is intended to provide federal, state and local government customers with new ways to find and analyze important information.
The data can be delivered via secure Internet access or deployed within a government enterprise, integrated with its internal systems and agency-specific data sets, according to LexisNexis's announcement.
The company has divided the offering into three categories:
* Intelligence Analysis Solutions enable government analysts to anticipate and detect threats to national security by pinpointing critical information contained within massive volumes of data.
* Investigative Services Solutions allow law enforcement employees to find information on local suspects and provide immediate access to critical investigative information that would take days to locate otherwise.
* Screening and Identity Verification Solutions allow government agencies to secure and protect access to critical systems and facilities.
The intelligence analysis capability uses open-source analysis of news articles, transcripts, scientific journals, public records and Web-based content. Maritime Domain Awareness lets analysts identify links among cargo, containers, vessels and crews before they reach U.S. shores. And an all-source analysis permits analysts to bring together open-source information and classified data.
All of the solutions can be tailored to individual clients’ needs, the company said, taking advantage of more than 5 billion legal, news, business, public records and international data records.
