Phoenix teams with immixTechnology

Three Phoenix Technologies products are now available through immixTechnology.

Phoenix Technologies has tapped immixTechnology as a government sales conduit for three of the company’s software products.

ImmixTechnology has General Services Administration schedule contracts for Phoenix’s TrustConnector 2, Recover Pro 6, and ImageCast 6 products. TrustConnector 2 is a device authentication product, for which Phoenix has been working to establish a federal reseller channel. RecoverPro 6 is a desktop PC recovery application, and ImageCast 6 is a tool for deploying desktop and notebook PC system images.

Keren Cummins, vice president of the public sector at Phoenix Technologies, said immixTechnology manages the schedule contracts, but will provide products through its reseller partners. Those partners include CDW-Government, GTSI and TKC Integration Services. The latter company is an Alaska Native 8(a) Corporation.

Cummins said Phoenix Technologies’ arrangement with immixTechnology provides access to a wide spectrum of resellers. It is important for the company to have that breadth of coverage, she said, because the company's products include some that are almost commodities and others that require detailed, specialized knowledge.

Phoenix Technologies has wanted to expand its government partner base in recent months. The company opened an office in Washington, D.C., in late 2005 and developed a Trusted Partner Network for cultivating channel ties.
