EPA launches Earth Day Web sites
One online tool lets visitors download environmental tips widget for use on public Web sites.
The Environmental Protection Agency has launched several interactive Web sites to provide information on health and the environment, EPA officials have announced.
The interactive tools are intended to go along with Earth Day on April 22. The sites are available on EPA’s Earth Day Web site, officials said April 1.
One tool lets visitors sign up for an emailed daily environmental tip. Another tool provides environmental tips widgets for use on public Web pages, blogs, or social networking profiles.
Visitors can listen to daily podcasts with environmental tips from EPA employees. The podcasts are available for download and for free subscription on iTunes.
One site lets visitors share photos and video clips in several categories. The photos and videos will be featured on the agency’s Earth Day site all month.
Members of the public can communicate on environment issues with EPA writers on the Greenversations blog.
