CGI gets $29 million financial services hosting contract from GSA
CGI Federal will transition the General Services Administration to a new financial management system under a $29 million contract.
The General Services Administration plans to transition its financial management system to a new platform designed to streamline transaction processing, GSA officials announced today.
CGI Federal Inc. won the $29 million, five-year contract to provide managed hosting services for GSA’s financial management system. Under the contract awarded by the agency's Chief Financial Officer Office, CGI will transition GSA to a new system that is also designed provide greater capacity, GSA officials said.
The new system seeks to reduce the number of physical servers currently used to for financial transaction processing, and is designed to increase GSA’s capacity to support new billing and accounts receivable functions, according to GSA.
The system will be housed in CGI’s security data center. The system is based on CGI’s Momentum Financials software, according to the company.
Under contract, CGI will continue to provide Momentum hosting services for Pegasys, GSA’s financial management shared service for federal agencies. CGI will also provide hosting for the recently awarded Billing and Accounts Receivable project, according to GSA.
