GAO's Web site goes mobile
The Government Accountability Office has started a new mobile version of its Web site to make its work more available on BlackBerrys and iPhones.
“People are increasingly using mobile devices to access the internet and GAO’s mobile Web site will enable more users to quickly get to GAO’s most recent reports, testimonies and legal decisions and learn about our efforts to promote accountability and help improve government performance,” said Gene Dodaro, acting comptroller general and head of the GAO.

GAO recently announced it had come online with a new mobile version of its site that lets people more easily access reports on their smartphones such as BlackBerrys, iPhones and Droids. The site is automatically opened when people visit GAO’s regular site while using a mobile device, the auditing agency said July 28.
The new site is organized under three tabs that let people browse the latest reports and testimonies from GAO, see legal decisions and opinions, and highlight some of its work.
