Call Col. Gary Langston the tie that binds: He’s responsible for maintaining the communications operations that connect Army installations around the world.

Langston has been instrumental in keeping Army communications and networks running amid large-scale movement through Base Realignment and Closure activity. He also is leading the development of a plan to consolidate more than 260 Army data centers.

“Gary is a technically brilliant, totally dedicated IT leader,” said Mike Krieger, acting Army CIO. “His advice is sought by numerous three- and four-star [generals] because it is logical, direct and flawless.”
