Video: How to Save Data When Backing up to Google Photos
Don't choose between saving your photos and your data.
It's important to back up your photos. This much we can all agree on. But backing them up to a service like Google Photos (which offers unlimited photo backup) can be a data suck.
You'll want to make sure you're only backing up the photos while connected to Wi-Fi. To ensure that, go to the settings menu, tap "back up and sync," and choose whether to back up photos and video using mobile data.
