One of the most frustrating things about using a smartphone can be the battery. Batteries can drain quicker than expected and users can often feel tethered to their charger.
But batteries have come a long way since the days of flip phones. Many misconceptions still exist, however, about how they work and how to help them.
Users don't need to completely drain batteries all the way before charging them. In fact, doing this frequently enough can reduce battery effectiveness.
Batteries are also now able to tell when the device is fully charged, so users are in no danger of "overcharging" if their phone stays plugged in after it reaches 100 percent.
