GSA pushes EIS proposal date
The General Services Administration extended the deadline for vendor proposal submissions to its massive next-generation telecom contract by a week.
The deadline for vendor proposals to the General Services Administration's massive $50 billion Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions telecommunications contract is now January 29 at 4 pm, according to documents released by the agency on Dec. 11. The extension gives vendors an extra week to prepare their bids.
Potential vendors have been asking the agency questions about specifics in the RFP in the last few weeks. GSA has sent out two packages of responses to those inquiries via its EIS Interact site and FedBizOpps. The extension was part of the second batch of the agency's responses.
EIS is the foundational contract for the GSA's overarching NS2020 Strategy framework and acquisition strategy, for future federal information technology and telecommunications needs.
GSA issued the 890-page request for proposals on Oct. 16.
