Video: The Gadgets from CES That Will Improve Your Life
The Internet of Things is here to help your morning routine.
Many see the Internet of Things as revolutionary, while others point out the major security risks. But some smart devices just want to make life a little bit easier for busy users. At this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, these gadgets stole the show.
Have a problem with coffee that stays scalding hot for way too long? Enter Ember, a temperature-adjusting coffee mug. Through heating and cooling technology embedded in the walls of the mug, it brings your coffee to the perfect temperature and holds it there.
Other helpful devices include the Smartfeeder, a pet dish controlled via an Android app that dispenses food to your pet from wherever you are. Meaning, you can give Fido an afternoon snack from your desk at work.
Your fern needs some TLC, too. Parrot Pot, a smart plant pot -- again, controlled by an app -- has sensors that monitor your plant's needs and can keep it alive and happy when you're not around.
