This year, expect the already-advanced smartphone to evolve even further. As more devices become a part of the Internet of Things, the smartphone might evolve into a universal remote control for all things "smart" -- like a smartwatch, smarthome and virtual reality. Smartphones will also integrate further with your car.
One of the biggest complaints about current smartphones? Battery life. In 2016, new, more efficient ways of charging your device will become available, such as Wattup, which transmits power wirelessly to devices within 15 feet.
