Video: The Best Ways to Preserve Your Smartphone's Battery
For those times when you're stuck without a charger.
A short battery life is everyone's biggest smartphone pet peeve.
To prolong any device's battery, be sure to uninstall apps known to hog memory and power, like the Facebook app. Users should also turn down screen brightness and switch off Bluetooth and GPS until they need to use those features.
Another sneaky thing that drains your battery? The vibrate setting. Put your smartphone on silent or turn up the volume.
Battery-starved users can also explore low-power mode options. For Android devices running Marshmallow, there's Doze Mode. IPhone users can also activate a low-power mode, which turns off a lot of features, but the smartphone still receives calls and messages.
