Video: New Android Malware 'HummingBad' Infects Millions

Android smartphone users have something new to worry about. Security company Check Point spotted a piece of malware in February 2016 that they dubbed "HummingBad." It works as a drive-by-download attack to try to gain root access to a device.
Once installed, it force-downloads apps and clicks on the ads. So far, an estimated 10 million devices have been infected.
Users should note that the malware prefers to target earlier Android operating systems, KitKat and JellyBean. Unfortunately, Check Point hasn't released a solution for removing the malware from infected Android devices. Until then, be careful.
