Are You Ready for the Big Changes Coming to the iPhone?
It's a smartphone makeover.
Apple will officially release its new operating system for the iPhone, the iOS 11, sometime this fall. As with any operating system upgrade, there will be plenty of changes—both big and small—to your phone.
The big changes are what most iPhone users are most concerned about, however.
Once the iOS 11 is downloaded, users will first notice that the notification center is different. It will now be known as Cover sheet and works similarly to the iOS lock screen. The notification feed is organized chronologically, instead of by category, starting with the most recent.
The control center has also gotten a makeover. It features more easy-to-tap, accessible buttons, all on one page instead of spread out over several. The control center is also customizable, depending on the user's interests.
There are also some key changes to photos in the new operating system. A new drag and drop feature will let users quickly organize photos into albums. And a new screenshot tool has streamlined the process of taking a screenshot as well as the process of editing, marking up and sharing them.
