SAIC Snags $160M Contract to Support Navy Networks

The Virginia-based company will provide an assortment of IT services to the U.S. Navy.
Science Applications International Corp. announced Thursday that it was awarded a $163 million contract by the U.S. Navy to provide design, development, integration and modernization support for the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific Shore Networks Branch.
According to the company, it will maintain Naval Enterprise Networks “for all shore-based U.S. Navy commands and personnel” necessary for the Navy’s daily operations.
NIWC provides tech and engineering support for the Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Army and Coast Guard programs, as well as research and development and life cycle support of fielded systems. It employs more than 5,200 computer scientists, engineering, cyber personnel and other technical specialists in the greater San Diego area.
