San Carlos, Calif., last week announced that it had teamed with Presenter.com to put two narrated presentations — one for small business and the other for the general public — on the city's World Wide Web site.

The "Got Revenue?" presentation by city manager Michael Garvey was originally given at a recent housing summit and explains how cities are funded and offers ideas on how encouraging housing could help solve city and county revenue problems.

"Preparing for Y2K," by assistant city manager Brian Moura was posted on Presenter.com in December and details how to prepare computers and other equipment for the Year 2000.

The Presenter.com Web portal allows cities and businesses to convert educational materials into Web format and enables users to view presentations in three modes: slides only, audio and slides, or video and audio.

The presentations are available through the "Video and Sound Clips" page on the San Carlos Web site at www.ci.san-carlos.ca.us/mmedia/videosound.html, or at www.presenter.com by entering San Carlos in the search box.
