EPA's Earth Day: Indoors, on Internet
The Environmental Protection Agency is conducting a 'virtual Earth Day' on Wednesday
Imagine Earth Day without all that messy stuff like crowded outdoor rallies, hot sun, rain or contact with the actual environment.
That will be possible April 26 thanks to the Environmental Protection Agency, which is conducting a "virtual Earth Day" on the Internet. Learn about sustainable communities, acid rain, watersheds and water quality, all without going outdoors.
There will be live chats and streaming video presentations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at www.epa.gov/superfund/topics/virtual. "We're using technology to do business better," said Carolyn Offutt, EPA Webmaster.
