Litton/PRC's Pomata retires

Leonard Pomata, president of Litton/PRC Inc., announced yesterday that he

will retire after about 21 years in the commercial sector.

Pomata will be replaced by Barry Rhine, senior vice president and general

manager of defense systems.

Rhine currently leads five operating divisions responsible for the analysis,

design, development, integration and implementation of advanced information

systems for the Defense Department, national intelligence agencies and other

selected federal agencies.

Prior to joining Litton/PRC in 1979, Rhine served as an Air Force officer

developing and managing data systems for the Strategic Air Command. Since

joining Litton/PRC, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in

the development of large-scale computer systems, including critical command,

control, communications and intelligence systems for military commands and

agencies; indications and warning systems; complex systems supporting counter-narcotics

operations; and advanced software systems for NASA, the intelligence community

and DOD customers.

"We will miss Len Pomata, but I think a lot of us are excited about working

with Barry," a Litton/PRC employee said.

Litton/PRC has more than 5,300 employees in 80 offices worldwide and specializes

in providing information technology and systems-based solutions for the

public sector and integrating and pioneering the design, development and

management of standards-based open systems. The company's core capabilities

are in functional and IT outsourcing, electronic business, and critical

information and infrastructure protection.
