More than an update

Technically, the ICAC2 document updates the previous manual, published in

1994. But it actually is an overhaul that better accounts for some of the

newer technologies used on the battlefield, such as unmanned aerial vehicles,

the Conventional Air-Launched Cruise Missile and the Army Tactical Missile

System.

"We brought it up-to-date with joint doctrine at the strategic and operational

levels because all of the procedures out there were really out of date.

When we asked people...[if] they were using the existing document, we were

told they were using it but that it wasn't really meeting their needs,"

said Army Maj. Rick Starkey.
