The transformation will take about 30 years to complete and involves
building the capability to gather and disseminate accurate information faster
than enemies to allow faster decision- making. It relies on information
technologies at all levels, from reconnaissance satellites to Global Positioning
System receivers embedded in smart munitions for greater accuracy.
