FAA unveils two Web sites to aid travelers
The aviation agency has launched two Web sites that provide travelers with delay and safety information
In its latest effort to reach out to the public through the Internet, the
Federal Aviation Administration has launched two Web sites that provide
travelers with delay and safety information.
Both sites are available through the FAA's main site at www.faa.gov.
The first site, under "Traveler Info," provides information on airport on-time
conditions and offers tips to make air travel safer for passengers. Tips
cover what to wear, carry-on baggage, what not to pack (such as common household
hazardous materials), dealing with turbulence, child safety seats, security
and emergency evacuations.
The second site, under "Public Inquiry," enables users to find answers
to questions on any aviation issue. Users can access publications and FAA
regulations, report low-flying aircraft or look for jobs.
