The Office of Management and Budget's e-government task force, led by Mark Forman, is seeking ideas that can advance federal initiatives in four defined "segments" in the administration's e-government strategy. Those segments are:
* Government to citizen: Provide easy access to government services through one-stop shops that eliminate agency stovepipes.
* Government to business: Reduce the burden and redundancy that many private-sector organizations face when doing business with agencies or submitting regulatory reports.
* Government to government (internal): Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of agency programs and practices, in areas such as financial management and procurement.
* Government to government (external): Make it easier for state and local agencies to work with federal partners in meeting program reporting requirements and in disbursing grants.
