Treasury contracts operation gets a new name

FBA East, a Treasury Department franchise fund operation, today changed its name to GoTo.Gov and launched information technology and consulting services.“We are a conduit between the private sector and agencies, and the new name reflects more accurately what FBA East is today—where government agencies go for forward-thinking administrative solutions,” said Rick Rider, chief operating officer of the Baltimore organization.Established in 1989, the Treasury operation has a staff of 24 that serves agencies in the Washington area and 12 states in the Northeast.It provides audit recovery, human resource support, employee assistance, information technology staff help and IT equipment by awarding contracts to vendors and then serving as the intermediary.
