Anteon implementing Army Corps system

Anteon wins contract to implement a facilities and equipment maintenance system at about 50 sites

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Nov. 27 that it has selected Anteon Corp., an information technology integrator, for a $1.2 million contract to implement a facilities and equipment maintenance system at about 50 sites.

Under a previous $1.8 million contract, Anteon modified commercial off-the-shelf software to meet the Army Corps' facility and equipment tracking, management and maintenance requirements.

The Fairfax, Va.-based company will begin implementation at selected sites, a process that includes training, data conversion and on-site implementation support. The work will be performed by Anteon's Software Solutions Center, Montgomery, Ala.

In the future, Anteon is expected to implement the system at all remaining Army Corps districts and sites, said Joseph Kampf, president and chief executive officer of Anteon.

Kampf said Anteon specializes in "taking existing commercial or government software and tailoring that software to meet our customers' specific requirements."

The fact that the Corps of Engineers is continuing with the company's solution is proof that Anteon "has been successful in developing a system to meet the corps' extensive and complex needs," Kampf said.
