The Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command has selected Science Applications International Corp. for a $596.6 million task order for technical engineering support. The General Services Administration Federal Technology Service's Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (Fedsim) made the award as part of its Millennia contract.

The one-year award with four one-year options is for technical engineering support to Spawar organizations around the world, both afloat and ashore. Previously, SAIC provided technical engineering support to Spawar through a now-completed task order that Fedsim established and has managed since 1999, GSA and SAIC officials said.

The task order includes services such as systems architecture, systems engineering, system design, configuration control, pre-installation testing, system integration, information security, and engineering support for acquisition of Spawar business.
