Two e-gov leaders retire

Two senior officials involved with the Office of Management and Budget’s e-government initiatives have left the government.Howard Landon, director of special projects for the Energy Department’s CIO and a member of the Quicksilver team that helped select OMB’s 24 e-gov initiatives, retired Jan. 3 and now works for Booz, Allen & Hamilton Inc., a consulting firm in McLean, Va. He left shortly after Karen Evans was named Energy CIO, and his replacement has not been named.Terrence Tychan, deputy assistant secretary for grants and acquisition management at the Health and Human Services Department, retired Feb. 1. He oversaw development of the HHS e-grants portal [see story at ].Mark Weisman, the director for acquisition management and overseer of policy and contracts at HHS, has become acting deputy assistant secretary for grants and acquisition management.
