The General Services Administration, as a part of managing its Integrated Acquisition e-government project, recently decided to give agencies the ability to post grant and funding opportunities on the site. The 13 data elements will standardize how all funding prospects are listed so users will be able to find information easily and quickly, according to a Federal Register notice today.Many of the elements will be the same as are use for posting contracting opportunities, the announcement said. But certain items such as activity class codes, which are based on the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance numbers, will have to be different.Comments on the data elements are due by Oct. 11.
