CSC gets e-learning deal
Computer Sciences Corp. wins a deal to develop e-learning programs for the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.
The Agriculture Department awarded a contract worth up to $11 million to Computer Sciences Corp. for e-learning programs and systems to organize the expertise and lessons learned within the organization.
According to the deal, CSC's Training Center of Excellence will oversee e-learning and knowledge management for the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. The company also will provide analytical and technical assistance. The contract pays $11 million if all options are exercised.
The training center specializes in knowledge support solutions and develops training products.
The inspection service administers the Animal Welfare Act, promotes agricultural health and carries out wildlife damage management activities.
