The Homeland Security Department has selected PEC Solutions Inc. to provide management services for its massive entry/exit border system.

The 5-year, $60 million award, announced July 16, is for the program management support services for the United States Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator Technology (US-VISIT) program.

PEC Solutions, based in Fairfax, Va., will be involved with the development and completion of the project's milestones. The company will provide business case and budget analysis, public affairs, technical and schedule management and product improvement. The company will administer knowledge management, change management and risk management.

They will also provide acquisition support in developing the request for proposals for a prime integrator for the system, which is expected to be released in November, sources said.

"This program presents the ideal intersection of technical, management and execution capabilities for our company," said Paul Rice, PEC Solutions' chief operating officer, in a statement. "We are prepared to mobilize immediately to ensure we rapidly engage the range of high priority activities."
