SI gets Army contract

The network and computer services firm will take over human resources systems for several offices.

The Army has chosen SI International Inc. as the prime contractor for human resources systems used by at least eight military departments or offices.

The contract, announced today, is worth up to $13 million if the Army exercises all the options. SI will handle current systems for personnel administration processing, automated systems operations and personnel information systems management for several offices, including: the Secretary of Defense; the Joint Chiefs of Staff; the Secretary of the Army; Headquarters Department of the Army; the Chief of Staff of the Army; Army Staff; the Chief Army Reserve; the National Guard Bureau; and all supporting field operating agencies assigned to the Pentagon.

The Headquarters Department of the Army Military Personnel Service Center awarded the deal earlier this week. It starts Aug. 1 with a two-month base period, with four one-year options.
