Spawar awards two support contracts

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (Spawar) in Charleston, S.C., announced two contract awards for command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) projects Monday.
Eagan, McAllister Associates Inc. won a deal worth up to $48.8 million and M.C. Dean Inc. received a contract worth $41.5 million if all options are exercised.
Based in Lexington Park, Md., Eagan, McAllister will provide engineering and technical services for air traffic control, radiation detection, geospatial information systems, navigation and undersea warfare. The company will support several government agencies, including Spawar, Special Operations Command, Naval Sea Systems Command and the Navy Modeling and Simulation Management Office.
Eagan, McAllister will get $8.8 million under the first part of the deal. If all options are exercised, the company will be paid $48.8 million.
M.C. Dean, of Chantilly, Va., will carry out C4I and information technology engineering, testing and maintenance for Spawar Europe and other commands in the European and Central Command regions. The initial contract is worth $7.2 million The potential value of that contract, if all options are exercised, is $41.5 million.
Both contracts are scheduled to be completed by August 2004.
