OMB hires two new e-gov portfolio managers

The Office of Management and Budget has filled two of three vacant e-government project portfolio manager jobs.Paul Mamo is on detail from the IRS for six months to manage the government-to-citizen Quicksilver projects. He took over the post left vacant last month when Jonathan Womer accepted another job within OMB. At the IRS, Mamo led the agency’s e-government program office and managed the Quicksilver projects to expand electronic tax services.Tim Young is the new manager of the internal efficiency and effectiveness portfolio. He replaced Stephen Galvan, who became CIO of the Small Business Administration in June. Young comes to OMB from BearingPoint Inc. of McLean, Va., where he was a senior consultant.Mamo and Young began their new assignments last week.OMB still needs to fill the government-to-government portfolio position, previously held by Tony Frater. Frater left last month for a private-sector job.
