VA launches new health portal
My HealtheVet is designed as a one-stop service for VA benefits, special programs and health information.
Veterans have a new resource for up-to-date information about medications and health news with the Department of Veterans Affairs' launch of the My HealtheVet portal.
The site is designed to be a one-stop service for VA benefits, special programs and health information. It also offers a health education library and tools for measuring health status.
Veterans can use the site to reorder VA prescriptions, view appointments, maintain a personal health log and review VA information online.
"My HealtheVet will provide a focal point...to begin to build an online health record," said the VA's undersecretary for health, Robert Roswell.
Aside from personalized health services, My HealtheVet also allows users to access information on veterans' benefits and answers frequently asked questions.
The new site is available at www.myhealth.va.gov.
