Kellogg leaves GTSI for Iraq
His resignation from the company's board makes him the company's second official to join the reconstruction effort in Iraq.
Retired Lt. Gen. Joseph "Keith" Kellogg has resigned from the board of directors of GTSI Corp. to become the chief operation officer for the reconstruction of Iraq, officials said today.
Kellogg, a retired three-star Army general who was the U.S. military's top information technology official during Operation Iraqi Freedom, is the second official from the government technology solutions provider to head to Iraq to help rebuild that war-torn nation. GTSI executive Joe Draham temporarily left to serve in Iraq with the Coalition Provisional Authority. Draham, the company's vice president of government relations and congressional affairs, will serve as a counselor to Kellogg.
"Despite his short term on GTSI's board of directors, Keith was an active participant and his advice and counsel will be missed," said Dendy Young, the company's chairman and chief executive officer. "President Bush has selected a leader with an extensive track record of success."
