DOD will pay up to $34 million for security management, certification and accreditation for the Tricare Automated Information System Network Programs.
Defense Department officials chose Unisys Corp. to provide security management, technical support, and security certification and accreditation services for the military's Tricare Automated Information System Network Programs, the largest provider of health care services for federal government employees and beneficiaries.
The contract has a one-year base and four one-year options. The value of the first year will be about $7 million, and the total value if the government exercises all the option years is $34 million.
Unisys' role is to help Tricare comply with each phase of the DOD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process. Unisys was already providing the services to 29 facilities. The new contract expands that to 220.
