Borland joins Telos board
The former deputy CIO of the Army will be a director for Telos, an info security firm.
Retired Army deputy chief information officer Dave Borland has joined the board of directors of Telos Corp.
"Dave Borland's service to the United States and his leadership in promoting the effective use of technology in the government made him an ideal choice for the board," said John Wood, president and chief executive officer of Telos, in a March 2 statement. The company, located in Ashburn, Va., provides information security services.
"Telos' experience and success in government solutions, combined with their market-leading information security technologies, made joining their board an easy decision, Borland said in a statement. "The company is working to achieve something very important — secure technology for government — and I look forward to collaborating with the company's management."
Borland retired in January after working 32 years with the Army, and he also served four years in the Air Force. He said he now wants to provide information technology consulting services to companies doing business with the Army.
