The Defense Information Systems Agency awarded a $102 million contract late last week to Computer Associates International Inc. for operations and maintenance of military computer systems.

CA will provide software license and maintenance support services as part of DISA's Computing Services Enterprise contract. The company, in Herndon, Va., will work in the areas of accounting, logistics, medical records processing, personnel and payroll, according to a March 26 Defense Department statement.

The contract covers five years, with one base year and four one-year options. The first year is worth $34 million, the statement said.

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization managed the procurement process for DISA. The group received only one proposal, according to the statement.
