Cecom to meet with vendors

The Army's Communications-Electronics Command will hold a workshop and a conference next month to tell vendors about upcoming contracts.

Officials at the Army's Communications-Electronics Command at Fort Monmouth, N.J., will hold a workshop and a conference next month to inform companies of business opportunities with the service's top warfighting information technology organization.

Cecom will conduct an industry day to discuss procurements with large firms June 1. A small-business conference will follow the industry day June 2 so vendors can ask questions and discuss concerns about acquisitions involving small and minority-owned companies.

The Cecom industry day and small-business conference will involve business opportunities in command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. Command officials will emphasize short- and long-term IT procurements between the Army and the other services and military agencies.
