There are several ways FusionNet Genesis can be used to move soldiers to different assignments.

One scenario would work like this:

1. A soldier deployed with the 2nd Infantry Division, based in South Korea, receives orders to report to Fort Riley, Kan.

2. The soldier's personnel, training and assignment history data is pulled from Army computer systems and put in the FusionNet Genesis information repository.

3. Another soldier in Fort Riley's Enlisted Strength Management office signs into the system the next day and sees that the soldier will arrive soon and needs an assignment.

4. Once the Fort Riley soldier clicks on the command Assign This Soldier, the system suggests assignments matching the soldier's military specialty, rank and other qualifications.
