Spotila to leave GTSI

John Spotila, president and chief operating officer at GTSI Corp., is leaving the company next week to pursue other opportunities.

GTSI officials do not plan to replace him, said Dendy Young, chairman and chief executive officer.

"At the present time we've not announced that we're going to replace the position, and we will probably join ranks within the management team," he said. "I think the team's going to step up to the challenge and meet the expectations."

Young declined to elaborate on the reasons for Spotila's departure but said it was a mutually agreed upon decision.

Before joining GTSI at the end of the Clinton administration, Spotila led the Office of Management and Budget's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.
