Morea stays in charge of AMS
CGI Group appointed Donna Morea to be president of CGI-AMS.
CGI Group Inc. executives have appointed Donna Morea to be president of CGI-AMS. Morea had been co-chief operating officer and general manager of American Management Systems Inc.'s public-sector practice until CGI acquired most of that company last month.
In her new role, Morea will lead the development and management of technology business in the government, health care, financial services, telecommunications, utilities, manufacturing, retail and distribution sectors.
The division accounts for about 34 percent of CGI's revenue, according to company officials. The acquisition did not include AMS' defense and intelligence group, which CACI International Inc. purchased.
"Donna is a true visionary for organizations transforming themselves and improving service to customers through innovative technology and processes," said Michael Roach, president and COO of CGI, in a written statement. "We are delighted to have Donna serve as a member of CGI's senior management team, and know that her passion and creativity will help us serve our American customers well."
Morea began her career at AMS in 1980.
