Confirmations of 10 Defense Department nominees remain on hold because of a dispute between Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and DOD officials about documents related to the troubled Air Force/Boeing Co. tanker aircraft deal. Those on hold include Francis Harvey, nominated in November 2003 to serve as DOD's chief information officer, and Tina Westby Jonas, nominated in March to be the department's chief financial officer.

Michael Wynne — Nominated in September 2003 to be undersecretary of Defense for acquisition, technology and logistics.
John Paul Woodley Jr. — Nominated in January 2003 to be assistant secretary of the Army.
William Chatfield — Nominated in September 2003 to be director of the Selective Service System.
Kiron Kanina Skinner — Nominated in November 2003 to be a member of the National Security Education Board.
Lawrence Di Rita — Nominated in November 2003 to be assistant secretary of Defense for public affairs.
Jerald Paul — Nominated in February to be principal deputy administrator at the National Nuclear Security Administration.
Mark Falcoff — Nominated in February to be a member of the National Security Education Board.
Dionel Aviles — Nominated in February to be undersecretary of the Navy.
