Lobbyists hire Tad Anderson

Tad Anderson, the Office of Management and Budget's associate administrator for e-government and information technology, is returning to the private sector to join Dutko Government Markets, a consulting group based in Washington, D.C.

"We're excited about him," said David Beightol, a principal at Dutko. "Someone of his caliber is a hard guy to find."

The firm is a bipartisan lobbying organization specializing in appropriations, technology, telecommunications, health care, energy, financial services, international trade, environmental regulation and corporate and global tax policy.

As OMB associate administrator, Anderson managed the completion of the 24 e-government initiatives and implementation of the administration's e-government priorities.

OMB's administrator of e-government and IT, Karen Evans, appointed Anderson as her deputy in November 2003. Anderson had served as the portfolio manager for the government-to-business e-government projects.

Before joining OMB, Anderson was a management consultant with IBM Corp.'s Business Innovation Services/Federal Government Consulting Practice. He has also worked at the Commerce Department, White House and the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Anderson received a master's degree in business administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a concentration in e-business. He also holds a master's degree in international commerce and policy from George Mason University and a certificate in international trade and finance from St. Peter's College, Oxford University.

Beightol said Anderson will work on a wide range of issues at the consulting firm, including federal lobbying and Dutko's global advising practice.

"He views everything through an entrepreneurial prism," Beightol said. "He's a results-oriented guy."
