Gregg Bailey will lead the IT functions of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Gregg "Skip" Bailey will be the new chief information officer for the Justice Department's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Starting Oct. 17, Bailey will assume the bureau's information technology oversight duties and become assistant director for the ATF's office of science and technology, bureau officials announced today.
Bailey most recently served as an assistant director for IT at the FBI, where he was responsible for enterprise IT operations.
He also had been the chief technology officer and director of engineering and architecture for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and an adjunct faculty member at Brigham Young University, University of Phoenix, New Mexico State University and other schools.
