The Agriculture Department is giving visitors to its Web site the ability to customize the homepage to fit their needs.The MyUSDA.gov feature is the latest of several e-government projects Agriculture has implemented. Last month, the department launched the Electronic Loan Deficiency Payment service to let farmers request loan deficiency payments online and receive them automatically in their bank accounts [see ].In March, Agriculture introduced the online Customer Statement, which consolidated information from several programs into a single report for agricultural producers. Farmers can tap one report to view their contracts in various conservation programs, payments under commodity programs and information on loans and crop insurance [see ].
